Introduction
Through the Pride in Place programme, the Upper Afan Valley will benefit from £20 million from the UK Government over the next ten years. The programme will be led by a Neighbourhood Board, made up of local representatives, and how the money is used will reflect local priorities.
The Neighbourhood Board will approve a 10-year vision for the area and an investment plan for the first four years. Once the UK Government has approved this, the Board can then start to support projects for funding.
To help inform the investment plan, this online form aims to capture information on potential projects that could be developed further, and could come forward for funding. It is not an application for funding at this stage.
Completing the form
You can complete the form as an organisation, a community group or an informal group of residents.
The aim of the form is to capture ideas. In some cases, these may be well developed (for example, you might have a good idea of costs, or you might have secured some of the funding you need). In other cases, ideas might be at an earlier stage. That’s OK – just tell us as much as you know at the moment. You don’t need to have a fully developed project, and you don’t need to answer every question.

What happens next?
The Neighbourhood Board and its partners will use the information you have provided to inform the development of the ten year vision and investment plan, alongside the community consultation and engagement that is underway.
There will be an opportunity to apply for funding over the coming months. You will need to apply for funding when the calls are launched, and you will not be disadvantaged if you don’t have a proposal at this stage.
How your response will be stored and used
Responses to this online form will be collected, stored and analysed by SQW. SQW is an economic and social research company working on behalf of the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board.
The information submitted will be shared with the Neighbourhood Board and its partners.
